Delta Energy & Communications, Inc. (“Delta”) is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected and that your experience on our website is as satisfying and safe as possible. This privacy policy (this “Policy”) describes what information we collect through our DeltaGlobalNetwork.com website (the “Site”), the manner in which we use that information, and your options regarding the information the Site may collect. By using the Site, you consent to Delta’s privacy practices as stated here. Please note that this Policy is subject to change at any time.
Information We Collect
When you visit the Delta website, your web browser software may automatically provide us with information such as the web browser name and version, your computer type and operating system, onsite behavior and usage information, and the previous web site you visited if you clicked to our site from another. We also automatically determine your Internet IP address or your Internet service provider’s IP address. This information does not identify you personally.
We may collect personally identifying information to the extent you provide it to us in optional, voluntary submissions, such as in the “contact us” feature and other voluntary submissions or requests for information. Such personally identifiable information may include your name and/or that of your employer, address, telephone number and e-mail address, or any other information that you voluntarily provide.
Site Analytics
The Site employs advertising and tracking features through Google Analytics and LinkedIn (“Advertising Features”), which enable us to better understand our Site users and traffic. These Advertising Features may include:
-
Remarketing with Google Analytics;
-
Insight tags and remarketing through LinkedIn;
-
Google Display Network Impression Reporting;
-
Google Analytics Demographics (e.g., age, gender) and Interest Reporting; and
-
Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for advertising purposes.
Through these Advertising Features, we collect data about our Site traffic via advertising “cookies” and identifiers, in addition to data collected through a standard Google Analytics implementation.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is visiting our Site. A cookie cannot give access to your computer or any information stored on your computer. We use cookies to allow the Site to respond to you as an individual by gathering and remembering information about your preferences when using the Site so when you next visit the Site your preferences for using the Site are already set. You can find more information about cookies here.
We also collect cookies on the Site to capture information about page visits (i.e., “performance cookies”). This information is anonymous and Delta uses this information only internally – to deliver the most effective content to our visitors. Information from the cookie is used to gauge page popularity, analyze traffic patterns on the Site and guide development of other improvements to the Sites.
If you opt in to our email list, you should note that we employ some tracking methods, e.g., targeting, performance, and functionality cookies. We track “opens” via a tracking pixel in the email (meaning we track who opens our e-mail messages and when you open our e-mail messages) and we track “clicks” via encoded URLs (meaning we track whether you click on the links contained in our e-mail messages).
How We Use The Information We Collect
We use the information we collect on the Site, including conversion tracking, behavioral metrics, website demographics features and other non-personally identifiable information, to operate, provide, improve, and maintain our Site, to develop new products and services, to prevent abuse and fraud, to personalize and display advertisements and other content for you, and for other administrative and internal business purposes. The information we collect through the cookies contained in our emails is used internally only to help us deliver relevant messaging, and is not shared with any third parties.
We do not collect any personal information other than (i) the information you provide to us voluntarily, as described above and (ii) hashed or device identifiers, to the extent they are personal data in some countries. We will never sell or share the personal information we collect to any persons or organizations except when required by law for the investigation of illegal or criminal actives, the exercise of legal rights or in defense against any legal claims. Our automated site analytics features do not identify users and we do not facilitate the merging of personally identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information collected through any Advertising Features or otherwise. Further, we do not attempt to disaggregate data that Google, LinkedIn or any other third party analytics company reports in aggregate.
The third party analytics companies who collect information on our Site may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other websites and/or other online or mobile products and services relating to your activities across their network of websites as well as online and/or mobile products and services. Many of these companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies.
The Site may include links to other websites that do not fall under our supervision. We cannot accept any responsibility for protecting privacy or for the content of these websites, but we offer these links to make it easier for our visitors to find more information about specific subjects.
Opt-Out
By using the Site, you consent to the placement of the cookies referenced above. You can, however, set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it. You can also modify your browser setting to decline all cookies, if you prefer. You are specifically notified that you have the ability to opt-out to prevent Delta’s use of your data for retargeting, online behavioral advertising or interest-based advertising. Note, however, that opting out may prevent you from taking full advantage of the Site.
You can opt-out of the Google Analytics Advertising Features that we employ on the Site, including through Ads Settings, Ad Settings for mobile apps, or any other available means (e.g., the NAI’s consumer opt-out, available here). You may obtain the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browner Add-on here. The Digital Advertising Alliance website browser check is available here.
